Poll Worker Training:

The U.S. Election Assistance Commission estimates that for the elections on November 4, 2008 millions of people are need to work at the polls. Poll Workers play a vital role in helping to ensure that voters are able to cast their ballots on Election Day.

Volunteers that sign up to help as poll workers:

• Set up polling locations
• Distribute ballots
• Ensure voting lines move smoothly
• Make sure voting equipment is functional
