About YWCA

The YWCA USA represents more than 2 million women, girls and their families and has nearly 300 associations. Across the United States, local YWCAs provide a wide-range of services and programs including job training, child-care, and housing. YWCAs also actively participate in voter engagement and voter education activities during election years including registering voters, handing out voter guides and election day information to potential voters, hosting issues briefings and candidate forums, assisting people who wanted to vote early, and holding one-on-one conversations with women on the importance of voting.

The YWCA is the nation’s oldest women’s organization and today represents more than 2 million women, girls and their families, with over 300 associations across the United States. Our programs and services are wide-ranging and are tailored to meet diverse community needs. YWCA programs and services include job training and education, child-care, and housing. The mission of the YWCA is the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women.
